Trusting God with More Than One Way Forward
There’s a small word in Proverbs 3:5–6 that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately.
It’s easy to miss.
The word is paths.
With an S - meaning plural.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Not path.
Paths.
Every time I read this verse, I’m reminded that life rarely moves in a straight line. We don’t just walk one clean, predictable road forward. We juggle callings, careers, relationships, health, faith, family, finances—and somehow all of those roads intersect at once.
Multiple paths.
Multiple decisions.
Multiple unknowns.
And the promise isn’t that God will remove the choices—it’s that if we trust Him, He will direct all of them.
That’s why one of our most meaningful designs at BibleSocks is our Trust in the Lord (Proverbs 3) socks.
They’re a simple, wearable reminder that faith isn’t passive—it’s active alignment.
Choosing to trust. Choosing not to lean. Choosing to stay centered on Him even when the road ahead feels unclear.
God doesn’t promise to show us everything at once.
He promises to direct our paths—every one of them—as we acknowledge Him along the way.
