Thy "gratitude" hath made thee whole!

A Little Post-Thanksgiving Thought...
As November wraps up — the unofficial “Gratitude Month” (although we all know gratitude is a year-round calling) — we’ve been reflecting on the many reasons we’ve felt thankful this week.
Thanksgiving has always been a way of opening our eyes to the goodness around us… and sometimes, even in the small things.
And speaking of small reminders, our new Black & Gold Crosses and Pink & White Crosses BibleSocks have been flying off the shelves faster than you can say “grateful heart!” If you’ve been eyeing them, now’s the perfect time to snag a pair before they disappear.
But today’s message isn’t really about socks — it’s about something much deeper.
Faith & Gratitude: A Scriptural Connection
In Luke 17, we read the familiar story of the ten lepers. All ten were healed.
But only one came back to thank Jesus.
And Jesus says something that grabbed my attention this week:
“Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” — Luke 17:19
Not thy gratitude.
Thy faith.
Why?
Here’s what I think:
Gratitude is one of the greatest expressions of faith.
When we pause to say “thank you,” we’re acknowledging something powerful:
- That God is the giver of every good gift
- That His hand is in our lives
- That blessings aren’t random — they’re intentional
- That we trust Him not only for what was, but also for what will be
It takes faith to see God in the details.
It takes faith to recognize His tender mercies.
And when we practice gratitude, our faith grows roots.
Gratitude doesn’t just look back.
Gratitude fuels faith to trust Him with what’s ahead.
And truthfully? As I mentioned in last week's Weekly Walk...
When we start looking for God in our lives, we’ll find Him.
Every. Single. Time.
Just like the one who returned to give thanks, expressing gratitude actually strengthens our faith and brings a deeper kind of spiritual wholeness.
The Faith + Gratitude Duo
So as you express thanks — in your prayers, around your table, in your journal, or even in the quiet moments of your heart — know this:
You’re not just being polite.
You’re exercising faith.
And faith is what makes us whole.
A Simple Reminder for the Week Ahead
If you want a simple, everyday way to keep faith and gratitude front and center, our entire line of Cross-themed BibleSocks is designed for that purpose.
Wear them at church, around the house, or out running errands — each step is a reminder of who you walk with, and why gratitude matters.
Thanks for being here, and for walking this journey of faith with us.
With gratitude, faith, & peace...
