I don’t want to be outpraised by a rock. 😅

A little Palm Sunday thought for you...

Ever feel like your faith isn’t polished enough to share?

Like you don’t always have the right words…or your personal witness isn’t strong enough to “count”?

I’ve felt that.

As Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, something powerful happened.

People lined the streets, praising Him:

“Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!”

It wasn’t quiet.
It wasn’t reserved.
It was real.

But not everyone liked it.

Some Pharisees told Jesus to quiet the crowd.

And His response?

“I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.” (Luke 19:40)

Think about that for a second

If people stayed silent…

the rocks would step in.

Creation itself is ready to testify of Him.

Which tells me something important:

Jesus is worthy of praise—whether I speak up or not.

But I don’t know about you…

I don’t want to be outpraised by a rock. 😅

Here’s the good news:

God isn’t asking for a perfect speech.

It doesn't have to be loud.

He’s not asking for polished words.

He’s simply inviting us to be real.

Sometimes praise looks like:

  • A quiet “thank you” prayer
  • Encouraging someone who’s struggling
  • Choosing kindness when it’s hard
  • Living your faith in everyday moments

It doesn’t have to be loud.

It just has to be sincere.

That’s why we love our Romans 1:16 “Not Ashamed” BibleSocks.

They’re not about being flashy.

They’re about being willing.

A simple, everyday reminder:

“I’m not ashamed of what I believe.”

Because sometimes the smallest expressions of faith…
are the ones that matter most.

As we move toward Easter…

Let’s not let the rocks do the talking.

Let’s be the ones who:

  • Speak a little more openly
  • Share a little more freely
  • Live a little more intentionally

Not perfectly.

Just honestly.

Because that’s all those people were doing on Palm Sunday.

They weren’t trying to impress anyone.

They just couldn’t stay quiet about who He was.

What would it look like this week…

to speak up just a little more about your faith?

Your voice matters.
Your witness matters.

And if a rock can testify…so can you.
